     Ingredients for 12 pancakes

  • 55 g white flour (1/3 bowl)
  • 55 g cornflour (1/3 bowl)
  • 1 Tbsp. arrowroot
  • 5 g baking powder or tartaric acid (1 tsp.)
  • a firm pinch of white sea salt
  • 1 tsp. shoyu
  • 1/4 tsp. dried basil or oregano
  • 100 g finely cut seitan (sqeezed out)
  • 45 g rice, millet or oatamazake (3 Tbsp.)
  • 5 g sunflower, corn or sesame oil (1/2 Tbsp.)
  • 180 cl water (1/2 jar)
  • oil for baking
  • 2 finely cut scallions

 

 
Polenta Drop Scones with Italian Herbs


    Preparation:

  1. Mix the flour, cornflour, salt, arrowroot and baking powder
  2. Add oil, amazake and shoyu and mix well
  3. Than add water until it becomes a liquid batter
  4. Add scallion, herbs and seitan
  5. Bake on both sides lightly brown with 1 Tbsp. oil
