Ingredients for 9 Donuts:

  • 200g white flour (1 1/3 bowl)
  • 100g  85% refined wheatflour (2/3 bowl)
  • 20g coldpressed oil ( 2 Tbsp.)
  • 100g rice, millet or oat amazake(1/4 jar)
  • 60g raisins (1 handful)
  • 150ml water ( 1/3-1/4 jar)
  • a pinch of cinnamon
  • 9g baking powder or tartaric acid (1 1/2 tsp.)
  • 1/4 tsp. of white sea salt
  • 3/4 litre sunflower oil for frying

    Method:

  1. Mix flour, salt, baking powder and cinnamon
  2. Rub in the cold pressed oil
  3. Add the other ingredients and knead for 5 minutes until the dough becomes firm
  4. Make rings out of the dough
  5. Fry in sunflower oil at 180°C on both sides until they become light brown (about 3 minutes each side)
  6. Serve with a topping of strawberry jam or chocolate spread (optional)
