  • As a guideline, to make a simple pudding, dilute 380 g Amazake Basic Dessert (one small jar), with 350ml of water, soymilk or fruit juice

  • Simply add more water if a less sweet flavour is desired. For a sweeter taste, use less water or add 1 tablespoon rice syrup, maple syrup, apple or pear juice concentrate or some fruit juice

  • Amazake Basic Dessert can be thickened with kuzu, cornflour or agar-agar flakes (available from organic and health food retailers)

  • Basic Pudding: 380g Amazake Basic Dessert + 350ml water + 20g (2 Tbsp. ) thickener

  • Basic Custard: 380g Amazake Basic Dessert + 350ml water + 10g (1 Tbsp.) thickener

  • Basic Pudding in puddingmould: 380g Amazake Basic Dessert + 350ml water + 10g cornstarch (1 Tbsp. ) + 3g agar agar (1 Tbsp.)

  • Basic Drink: 380g Amazake Basic Dessert + 525ml water
